Finding Kamishichiken Oku proved a bit challenging since 'Kamishichiken' isn't part of the hotel's name. Google Maps got us close, so a bit of wandering was involved. However, the tranquility of the area quickly made up for it. I loved the breakfast featuring delicious Japanese dishes, and the ambiance was peaceful. Nestled in a serene neighborhood, it felt authentically Kyoto, close to charming restaurants and shops without the hustle of train noise. I adored my Superior Double Room with an open-air bath. the decor exceeded my expectations. The outdoor private onsen was such a relaxing touch. On the downside, the hotel is a little away from the main attractions, which could be inconvenient for those seeking to explore the city quickly. Despite that, the quiet atmosphere added to the charm. One minor hiccup was forgetting an item in my room, but I plan to call about retrieving it next week. Overall, the stay was enriching, and I would happily return.

The serene ambiance offered a delightful escape from city life.
Despite having a well-appointed room, I faced significant challenges during my stay. First, the internet connection was weak, making it difficult to plan my daily excursions. Additionally, the staff struggled to assist me when I needed help with transportation arrangements, leading to frustrating delays. Overall, I expected a more seamless experience given the hotel's reputation.

I had a comfy stay with spacious accommodations and a delightful dinner arranged just for us nearby. The open-air bath was a highlight, along with a calming garden space to unwind in. A minor drawback was that the Wi-Fi could use a little boost, but it didn’t ruin my experience. 😊

Spacious Room with Exceptional Breakfast
I stayed in a pretty spacious room with a luxurious bathroom, which added a nice touch to my escape from the busy city. The breakfast was excellent, featuring both Japanese and Western options that were truly delightful. The peaceful Kamishichiken area offered a serene retreat, and the staff were quick to assist with any questions I had. One thing to improve would be the cleanliness in certain areas, as I noticed a few scuff marks and an overall musty smell in the room.
